I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over ten years experience providing psychotherapy. I have worked in a diverse range of settings throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. My style is warm, welcoming, and collaborative.
I hold a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I have also served as Adjunct Faculty in CIIS’s Community Mental Health Program. I enjoy supervising and mentoring beginning psychotherapists. My work is rooted in contemporary psychodynamic theory. This holds that our earliest relationships have an enormous influence on how we grow to view ourselves and the world. Therefore, I am often looking through a psychodynamic lens, while still remaining attentive to your needs in the present moment. I have a background in somatics, yoga, and meditation, which influences my work even if it may not be apparent in any given session. I am inspired by attachment theory and the current wellspring of neurobiology research which supports it. I also maintain ongoing training, consultation, and professional development. If you have questions about any of these terms, or what they mean for you/our work, please feel free to ask me. |
